ETHAN MORRIS

B.S. & B.A., Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA

J.D., University of Georgia, Athens, GA

Ethan Morris is not your typical attorney. After growing weary of the heat and humidity of Georgia, he made the move to Jackson, Wyoming in the fall of 2019. He is licensed in Wyoming and Georgia and splits his practice between the two states.

Ethan began his legal career as an extern at the DeKalb County Public Defender's Office, where he assisted in the defense of individuals charged with crimes against the State of Georgia. He spent the majority of his time in the courtroom learning the ins and outs of criminal justice system from an established criminal defense attorney.

After taking an interest in Governor Nathan Deal's progress with criminal justice reform,  Ethan accepted a position at the Georgia General Assembly as an extern for the House Judiciary Committee, where he gained familiarity with Georgia's political process.

Since 2016 he has worked at law firms specializing in civil litigation. He first worked as a law clerk and associate at a firm specializing in complex litigation involving trust, estate, real estate and business related issues and later as an associate at a firm specializing in the representation of homeowner's associations, condominium associations, and homeowners. While at these two firms, Ethan gained a wide array of knowledge in trust, estate, and real estate related matters and contributed to the resolution of a variety of complex cases.

Since October 2019 he has worked with Freeburg Law, LLC, which is a Jackson-based firm that specializes in criminal defense and plaintiff's civil litigation.
